The Green Room

The Green Room apartment is located in Mount Sophia, Singapore.

The transformation begins with the children’s room. We designed for it to be openable via sliding doors forming an open, flowing space that encompasses the living, dining & dry kitchen area.

The strategy was to give the perception that the play area is a lot more spacious than it really is. By replacing traditional walls with sliding doors, spaces can either be distinct and private or unified and open. The children’s room that was stained in pale green veneered panels was inspired by the tall verdant green wall that faces the unit.

Natural light is maximized through these sliding doors to help maximize natural light and ventilation for the apartment. These interventions enhanced the interior’s connection with the exterior landscape walls.
