My Last Home

Age 67 holds quiet significance for many Singaporeans — a threshold where work slows, and reflection begins.

My Last Home is the renovation of a 30-year-old, two-storey intermediate terrace house, lovingly reimagined for a retired professor returning to Singapore after years abroad. He told us, simply and sincerely, that this would be his final home.

In this project, we set out to rediscover the soul of the house — a quiet spirit we believed was still there, waiting to be found. Time had wrapped it in thick layers of plaster and ceiling boards, hiding its charm and confidence. With care and patience, we peeled back the years, allowing its original beauty to breathe once more.
